These packs are a low-cost way of resourcing a whole-class D&T workshop in your school.
Class packs include all* the materials and components needed to make x30 artefacts. Also included are copies of the kit instructions. 'YouTube' videos showing how to make these projects can be found on this page or on my YouTube channel at 'Ivydale Science & Technology Service'.
*The CP15 Boat Classpack requires pupils to provide their own small plastic drink bottles.
If the project features motors they are supplied with wires soldered-on. I try to prepare anything else that might be a 'hassle' for the class teacher/TA.... e.g. wires on connectors, battery holders and buzzers have pre-stripped ends.
Different pack sizes (e.g. x23, x57, x90 etc.) can be supplied 'bespoke', priced 'pro rata'.

CP1 Simple Balloon Racer class pack: enough materials to make x30 simple correx balloon racers - only scissors and sticky tape needed to complete. Suitable for Yr3+ (perhaps even Yr2 in term 3). CP1 Simple Balloon Racer
CP2 Elastic Band Rollers class pack: enough materials to make x30 elastic band rollers. The wood is supplied pre-cut to size as standard. I can supply it in un-cut lengths if you want your pupils to measure and cut it up on request. If supplied with the wood pre-cut no tools are needed to make these rollers but younger pupils may need small hammers if using the drawing pin method to assemble the roller cage.
You will need to provide x240 drawing pins (or access to glue guns). Suitable for Yr3+ if pupils are cutting the wood. Younger pupils could make them if wood is supplied pre-cut. £15.00 +VAT + P&P (Different pack sizes are available priced 'pro rata').

CP2 Elastic Band Roller
CP3 Scuttlers class pack: enough components and materials to make x30 scuttlers. Only scissors, pencils and sticky tape are needed to complete this wind-up-and-go toy. I have made these with children in the Nursery (with lots of help!). Yr1/2+ can make them if given some help attaching the wind-up wheel. £38.00 + VAT +P&P (Different pack sizes are available priced 'pro rata').

CP3 Scuttlers CP3
CP4 Cam-Driven Crocodiles or Dinosaurs class pack: enough materials to make x30 cam-driven moving toys. Please state whether you want 'crocodiles' or 'dinosaurs'. To reduce cost I make my own cams by drilling a second hole in a wooden wheel. This type of cam is known as an eccentric wheel cam. A glue gun, small hammer, scissors, pencils, Pritt stick type glue and sticky tape are needed to complete this example of a moving toy. Suitable for Yr5+. £40.00 +VAT +P&P. CP4 Cam-Driven Crocodile CP4 Cam-Driven Dinosaur
CP5 Jet-Racers class pack: enough materials to make x30 balloon-powered jet-racers. Wood is supplied in 30cm sticks for the pupils to cut up using minisaws and bench hooks. Accurate measuring is required to ensure the chassis fits the body. You will need a hole punch, glue guns and small hammers. CP6 Electric Fan Buggies class pack: enough materials to make x30 electric fan-powered buggies. Motors have wires soldered on. All wires pre-stripped ready to connect together. x60 batteries included. Suitable for Yr5+. £119.00 +VAT +P&P

CP6 Electric Fan Buggy
CP7 Electric Steady-Hand Testing Game: enough materials to make x30 electric 'bendy wire games'. x60 batteries are included. Only scissors and sticky tape are needed to complete. Suitable for Yr3/6. Yrs 3/4 may need some help bending the wire. Buzzer wires, battery holder wires and wand wire all have pre-stripped ends ready to connect. NEW! The wire loop is now supplied with its wire soldered-on.
This is a very simple design. You will need to keep the bendy wire clean to ensure reliability.

CP10 Simple Orrery: enough materials to make x30 simple orreries (a moving model showing the movement of the Earth and Moon around the Sun*). *This is a very simple model intended to be part of a range of resources and strategies to teach 'the Earth in Space'.
* The Earth and its Moon do not revolve the correct number of times per revolution of the Sun. The size of the spheres and the distances between them are (of course) not to scale!
CP10 Simple Orrery
CP11 Zoetropes: enough materials to make x30 hand-powered zoetropes (a moving optical toy which produces an animated image). Two design sheets are provided (x60 in all). Also included: A4 black card, correx disk, axle, straw, support wheel and end-stop bead (or wheel). The zoetrope can be made without special tools (only stick glue, sticky tape and scissors needed) but access to a small hammer and glue gun may be useful.

CP11 Zoetrope
CP12 Electric Correx Creepers: enough materials to make x30 simple vibrating electric robot toys (a small motor is fitted with an off-centre mass/cam). Also included: correx rectangles, pipe-cleaners, battery holder, AA battery, motor mount, adhesive pads, 'eye sheet' and instructions. The motor and battery holder wires are pre-stripped.
A working creeper can be made without a glue gun. Stick glue, sticky tape and/or access to a glue gun is needed when 'decorating' the creeper (sticking-on eyes, wings etc.)

CP12 Electric Correx Creepers
CP13 Syringe-Operated Butterflies: enough materials to make x30 pneumatically-controlled butterflies demonstrating a simple remote-controlled system. There is a choice of swallowtail or peacock butterflies (or design your own!)
The pack includes x30 small and x30 large syringes plus x30 lengths of PVC tubing, wooden spacers and correx bases. The hinged correx strips are supplied ready-to-use. Access to a glue gun is needed for this project.

CP13 Syringe-Operated Butterfly
CP14 Syringe-Operated Monsters: enough materials to make x30 remote-controlled monster heads demonstrating a simple pneumatic system.
The pack includes x30 small and x30 large syringes plus x30 lengths of flexible PVC tubing, coloured A4 card, card bases, x100 pipecleaners and paper 'eye sheets'. Access to further decorating materials is recommended.
Needed: scissors, sticky tape and access to a glue gun*.
*A glue gun is only needed to fix the lever strip to the small syringe plunger. If you don't have a glue gun a sticky fixers can be used. Everything else can be assembled with sticky tape and/or stick glue.

CP14 Syringe-Operated Monsters Classpack
CP15 Electric Fan Boats: enough materials to make x30 correx boats (rafts) powered by a motor fitted with an air propeller. A simple rudder allows the boat to be controlled so that it will return to you! The boat will float in 5-10 cm depth of water.
The pack includes x30 motors with wires soldered-on, x30 propellers with spares for breakages, x60 batteries, x30 battery holders and connectors. The ends of all the wires are stripped ready to be twisted-together. The decks are pre-punched with holes for the rudder and switch. The correx strip motor tower is pre-folded ready to be glued into position. The switch is made using two paper fasteners (supplied).
Needed: x2 small plastic bottles with caps, scissors, sticky tape and access to a glue gun.
